UTSA's UMB Scholars Program Completes Its First Year
The UMB Scholars Program at UTSA is supported by a $900,000 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) as part of its Undergraduate Mathematics and Biology (UBM) Initiative. The program officially started at UTSA on September 1, 2007. During its inaugural year, 10 undergraduates were named UMB Scholars. Three Scholars will have graduated by the end of this summer. You can read more about some of these individuals below. The 7 remaining Scholars have been invited back for a second year of support. The names of these students and a synopsis of their current research activities can be found here.
